Introducing The Alto Assured Heat Pump Installer Scheme

Following the start of the Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant for heat pumps, Alto Energy is excited to launch their new Alto Assured Heat Pump Installer Scheme at this year’s Installer Show at the NEC in Birmingham. The new scheme provides the best way for installers to quickly gain access to the heat pump market and install properly designed and commissioned heat pump systems.

The Boiler Upgrade Scheme Starts Today

In an exciting day for the heat pump industry, the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) is now open and accepting new grant applications. As an MCS certified contractor, as well as part of our Alto Assured Installer Scheme, Alto Energy is registered with Ofgem to administer BUS grant applications for our customers.

Further 250 Heat Pump Training Places Now Available In 2022

Alto Energy is delighted to announce a further 250 spots have been made available on our Alto Assured Heat Pump Training Course. Following the success of the course this year, and due to unprecedented demand for spaces, we have increased the number of courses we’re running - both online and in person at our training centre in Oxfordshire. Our free course represents a unique opportunity for heating installers to quickly get started installing heat pumps.

Running costs of heat pumps versus gas boilers

A new report by the Regulatory Assistance Project (RAP) has shown that the ever-increasing prices of fossil fuels means that gas boilers are become more expensive to run. The analysis below shows that, with an efficient heat pump, households can now save up to 27% on their heating bills compared to a gas boiler.

Energy-Efficient Homes High on the Buyers Agenda

According to a new survey from property firm Savills, the majority of property buyers are prepared to pay more for a home primarily using renewable energy. In fact, homes with heat pumps demand a 59% premium compared to regional averages.

Changes to the MCS Heat Pump Standard

On 1st April 2022 there are some major updates to the MCS Heat Pump Standard (MIS 3005) which will come into effect. Fortunately for our customers, Alto Energy has been proactively reviewing and preparing for these changes, meaning there will be no disruption at all for our customers.
