Better in person!TonyWhen I first saw it online I wasn’t totally in love, but when I saw it in the store I was really impressed. It works great for my small space and has replaced my chest of drawers and freed up my closet for things other than clothes. Very very happy. :)5
Excellent wardrobeMary B.When I took it home and opened the packaging, I felt overwhelmed. However, if you take your time and go step by step, assembly goes smoothly. Once finished, it’s well worth the money. Plenty of room for hanging clothes and the adjustable shelves are perfect. It looks more expensive than it was. If you have the patience to put it together properly, buy this wardrobe. It will not disappoint.5
Was 5 stars until the door kept falling off!Michele T.We have this in our toddler’s room because the room is small and doesn’t have a closet. It’s perfect size for all of her clothes. Problem is, the door with the mirror keeps falling off. My husband reattached it and it fell again and again. The 3rd time it fell, he just kept it off because we didn’t want the glass to shatter if it fell again. Now we have a wardrobe with a missing door.3
wardrobeDeborah L.Looks exactly like the picture, except we put the mirror on the right side. The only problem was getting all of the doors even and one never did straighten up but it still looks okay and very functional4
Love it!KarinaIt looks exactly like the display. However, it does take awhile to put together.5
I love itMAZIELExcellent wardrobe, very well built and strong, which supports enough weight, I really recommend it for any bedroom! For me, a 51-year-old woman, it was easy to assemble it, you just have to look closely at the manufacturer's instructions, I have bought two and I will soon buy another one, I have loved it since I saw it in the store.5
GreatRobertExactly what I needed5
Changed my life for the better!Diana A.I have a very small room, with a closet that is not functional at all (smaller than a linen closet, rod hangs almost to the floor.) A dresser did not make sense for the room, or the amount of things I own. I purchased two of these about a month ago to create a wall of storage in my room. I loved the look, very minimalistic. The wardrobe is extremely sturdy. I added even more storage by purchasing plastic drawers for the larger part of the wardrobe. The shelf beneath the clothes rod supports one of those plastic drawers with three drawers or two of the smaller ones. I am able to keep tons of clothes, shoes, perfumes, and even hair supplies, office supplies, etc. I still have so much room left. The top of the wardrobes provides even more opportunities for storage. I added fabric baskets to the top of wardrobes for even more storage. Absolutely in love with the Brimnes Wardrobe. Installation was a breeze, very easy, the second one was built in less than 30 minutes. Very sturdy5
WardrobeSabyVery beautiful and good quality and so easy to assemble.5
Fantastic WardrobeKristinaI converted a (much larger) room in my house into a bedroom for my daughter so she'd have more space. I bought this and two of the matching ends to create a long and large closet for her. It fit perfectly where I wanted it to go, it's sturdy and looks fantastic. She loves it and so do I.5
Worth the moneyStevenWorth the money5
DOORS IN THE MIDDLE HAS A GAP AND YPU CAN SEE THE CLOTHESDaleaI got the Brimnes closet set up and the 2 middle doors does not meet all the way. Hence there is a noticeable gap in the middle. You can even see the clothes. Did they not measure it correctly? I am extremely disappointed in the quality of this unit.1
averageManuelnot bad for the cost. The mirror could be bigger. They same manufacturer doesn't make additional accessories as extra shelves, you must buy another brand and about an extra $253
Perfect for my daughter!ReneeThis wardrobe offers the perfect amount of space and ease of use. I highly recommend it!5
wardrobeARLENEIt is just what I expected4
Awesome wardrobeWindy J.Lots and lots of storage and fits nicely in a small bedroom. The mirror is a plus. Took a while to build though and it also happens to be really heavy (and it is also huge so build it in the room you are going to have it in!!).5

Our take on wood

Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA, we believe that sourced in responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

Forests are critical for life on earth

Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.

100% wood from more sustainable sources

At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030

As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.

We accomplish more by working together

For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.

Material

What is particleboard?

Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill waste – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a valuable resource instead of being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look. The day your sofa or bed needs replacing, the material in the particleboard can be recycled into something entirely new.
